LEGAL NOTICE OF HEARING AS TO ZONING REQUEST

CONCERNING VARIANCE FOR THE PROPERTY OF COLE CANTRELL AND LAUREN CANTRELL LOCATED WITHIN CLERMONT, GEORGIA

            Notice is given that the Mayor and Council of Clermont, Georgia shall conduct a planning and zoning meeting and a public hearing as to the application of Cole Cantrell and Lauren Cantrell to amend the zoning map of the Town of Clermont, Georgia, in order to have variances granted to one tract of land owned by Cole Cantrell and Lauren Cantrell and which is located within the limits of the Town of Clermont, Georgia, and which currently has a zoning classification of residential (R-I). The Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee meeting will be held at 639 Main Street Clermont, Georgia, at 7:00 p.m. on May 13, 2024. The public hearing will be held at 639 Main Street Clermont, Georgia, at 7:00 p.m. on June 4, 2024 and with the variance ordinance entitled as follows:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE TOWN OF CLERMONT, GEORGIA, BY GRANTING A VARIANCE TO ALLOW A 30’ X 30’ ACCESSORY BUILDING TO BE LOCATED ON THAT LOT DESIGNATED AS TAX MAP PARCEL # 12063 000052 WITHIN THE TOWN OF CLERMONT, GEORGIA, AND OWNED CURRENTLY OR FORMERLY BY COLE CANTRELL AND LAUREN CANTRELL, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED ON PLATS OR DEEDS, WHICH ARE ATTACHED HERETO AND, WHICH ARE INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE INTO THIS ORDINANCE, AND PROVIDING THAT THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION UPON SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A CERTAIN VARIANCE; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES TO THE EXTENT OF THE CONFLICT; TO PROVIDE FOR SEVERABILITY; TO PROVIDE FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

            A copy of the variance request, the plat for the property, and the Clermont Zoning Ordinance are available for inspection at the Town Hall in Clermont, Georgia.  You are invited to attend the Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee meeting and the Town Council's public hearing and give comments on the proposed variances to the zoning map.  The Town Council shall take action on the variance application at the public meeting of the Town Council to be held at 639 Main Street, Clermont, Georgia, at 7:00 p.m. on July 2, 2024.
